Dawn Angela Summer

I began choosing Dawn Angela Summer as my pen name when I began writing about my feminine side in 2005. The name Dawn came from a young woman who visited my small town in Mexico. She was a pretty English Teacher, and completed her student teaching at my High School. I never could forget her name. That, and she helped me publish my very first short story. The surname Summer came to me while I was looking up my first name on Google. I realized then how my feminine my birth name really sounded. Since I wanted a pen name that kept me anonymous I adopted Summer as more of a joke on myself. Afterwards, I picked Angela from a random name generator simply because I thought it fit.

Dawn Angela Summer: Traveler

I began exploring when my family went to see some historical sites in the Eastern United States. After that experience, I began craving to see more of the world.

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.” ― Mark Twain
