Google defines sincerity as lacking the qualities of pretense, deceit, or hypocrisy. For example, keeping a blog up to date with my latest thoughts and continued findings… This post was due last Friday. I still need work on my sincerity.
How Sincerity Sophisticates You
When you tell someone you want to hang out, you obligate yourself to do so. When you tell someone they look nice, you should truly believe that. If you have honest criticism of someone, sincerely offer you constructive comments without spite or guile.
Acting insincerely breaks the trust others perceive in you. Even the act of telling “innocent” white lies causes others to see you as unkind, and dishonest. Showing sincerity, or balancing honesty and kindness makes you a better person. You will notice that others begin to treat you with a mark of refinement.
