I originally took biotin for thirty days with amazing results. Based on that, what could happen if I took the same supplement for sixty days? To validate the experiment, I stopped using biotin for two weeks to clear it out of my system. Then, I took the same massive dosage for sixty days to see if I could get even better results. Below, you can see that I used the same format as before.
Which biotin product did you take, and for how long?
To keep the test consistent, I used the same Nature’s Bounty Biotin Supplements in 10000Mcg caplets. This time around, I took them once daily for sixty-nine days total.
Why did you decide to start taking biotin?
The second time, I wanted to try and duplicate the results I saw from my first thirty day trial. I loved the affects it had on my hair, nails, and skin before. This time, it seemed like I could expect it to just double.
What were your results?
For the first thirty days or so, I noticed the same results as before. My hair grew about an inch and a half in most places. I saw my nails get longer faster, and stronger. The outer layer of skin seemed more durable and quicker healing. But, then came the last thirty days.
During the last half of my test, my hair seemed to slow down to normal growth speed. Then, I noticed that my skin gradually resolved back to translucent, but with better elasticity. My nails continued growing at the cyclic rate, and remained incredibly strong.
How long did it take for you to see results?
The affects of the biotin began immediately this time around. In theory, the biotin might not have left my system after only two weeks. Therefore, the results might not reflect what would have happened if I’d started fresh.
On a final note, I still don’t understand the negative affects some people experience on this supplement. Some possible explanations are their skin care routines, diets, and physical routines. All of those affect your skin and overall health.
I would definitely recommend taking biotin on alternating months, after speaking to your medical provider. Please don’t start or stop any supplements without qualified medical advice. If you have any results or opinions of your own, I’d love to hear about them!
